How WC26P works
Predict scores, earn points, and climb the boards. Here's everything you need to know.
Points table
Bonus prizes (separate boards)
Knockout bracket points depend on timing: you earn the full value if your bracket is locked in before the Round of 32 starts, and a reduced value if you edit it during the Round of 32. Best Thirds and the knockout bracket are scored on their own boards — they are not added to your match-points totals.
Examples
- • You predict 2–1 and it ends 2–1 → 3 points (exact).
- • You predict 2–1 and it ends 3–0 → 1 point (you got the home win, not the score).
- • Knockout game: you predict 1–1 and pick Brazil to advance; it ends 1–1 and Brazil win on penalties → 1 + 2 bonus = 3 points.
Making predictions
Open the Matches tab, pick a score for each game, and save before kickoff. Predictions lock shortly before each match starts and can't be changed afterwards.
Knockout matches & penalties
In the knockout stage, matches are scored on the score at the end of extra time. If you predict a draw, you'll also pick which team advances — get that right and you earn a +2 bonus on top of your points. A penalty shootout never changes the recorded score, so a match that ends level and is decided on penalties stays a draw for scoring (e.g. 1‑1).
Rounds & prizes
There are prizes for each group round, the Group Stage Champion (rounds 2 & 3), each knockout round, and the Overall champion. Group Round 1 is its own prize and isn't counted in the Overall total, so players who join later still compete fairly.
Private groups
Create a private group and share its invite code, or join one with a code, to compete just with your friends on a separate board.
Best Thirds challenge
Before the final group round (Matchday 3), pick the 8 third-placed teams you think will reach the Round of 32. Any team is eligible except those already through to the knockouts (won both opening games) — a team can still slip from 1st or 2nd to 3rd. Your picks lock at the start of Matchday 3 and are scored on how many of the 8 actually qualify (taken from the real Round-of-32 line-up). The Standings page shows your result once the group stage finishes.
